Margret Mahy visits room 6 this week

We have been reading Margaret Mahy's stories and poems all week and then Isaac and his family loaned room 6 the wonderful Margaret Mahy collelection just out in the shops, that has a CD of Margaret Mahy  reading the stories she wrote. It is called "The Margaret Mahy Treasury". It is so wonderful to hear her voice. The children have been selecting their favourite Mahy characters for the Friday Character Parade ... I wounder who will come to school on Friday morning ... I think we will see The Witch from "The Witch in the Cherry Tree", and lots of sharks  from "The Great White White Man-Eating Shark" and dragons and lions from "The Lion in the Meadow", a few pirates from "The Great Piratical Rumbustification" and some children from "A Summery Saturday Morning".
